About Project
Based on a national competition including teams from across the United States, JHS and the Keenan Company were awarded the design and development contract for the new South Carolina Regional Center for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Located in Columbia, approximately two miles from the intersection of I-26 and I-20, the design of the project consists of two primary structures including a two-story, fifty thousand square foot office building with laboratories, computer facilities, offices and support spaces. A second one-story, 10,000 square foot structure is located on the site to house associated automotive and technical maintenance services.
The project costs were approximately $6 million including site development and general construction. The project was completed and occupied in November 1998.
